Sound and Spoken is a BeirutxDetroit poetry and music exchange that brings together poets and musicians in a live, improvised conversation. Poets pass the mic in rotation while musicians hold and shape the sonic ground.
The show features a rotating group of performers convening for the first time. What happens after that unfolds in the unscripted moment.
Curated by Layan Srour, Kamelya Youssef, and Celine Aljamil, the series takes shape across both Beirut and Detroit.
