Artists At Work x Arab American National Museum

The ARTISTS AT WORK (THE OFFICE performing arts + film) program provides an equitable framework – structured as a dynamic network of partnerships between artists, cultural organizations, and community partners – that sets artists up with strong local and national contacts, professional development, and systems of support.

The Arab American National Museum connects with their parent organization, The Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services (ACCESS), to explore community initiatives with four AAW artists who will engage on impact areas related to community health and safety.

Through my residency, I developed Jalasat / جلسات.

Jalasat (Arabic for “gatherings”) is a monthly pop-up performance series, in collaboration with the Arab American National Museum and Artists At Work, where we reframe site-specific performance as a point of community care, cultural exchange, and collective storytelling through live music, poetry and art.

With more than 35+ artists, 9+ venues, 20+ vendors, and 200+ attendees we created an accessible space where people felt seen and represented.
